Forty years ago, in November 1977, seven businessmen joined forces to create CIS Group, to provide computerized accounting services to certain local enterprises led by those same entrepreneurs. In 1984, the company took an innovative turn by specializing in the transportation field and in food distribution using hand-held computers, thus becoming a pioneer. This status, with five shareholders and a dozen employees at the time, earned it the honor of being visited by the Prime Minister of Québec, René Lévesque. Today, CIS Group’s two shareholders and its sixty employees continue to innovate with software solutions for clients in diverse fields, across North America and the Caribbean. Happy 40th anniversary!
