Your Role
As a Programmer-Analyst, you will be part of the Station team, responsible for the development and evolution of specialized software solutions for passenger and freight transportation.
Our solutions support complex and mission-critical operations in the transportation sector, including charter, school, urban, and freight transport. You will help design high-performance, reliable tools that are directly aligned with the operational realities of our clients.
The Solutions and the Team
The team consists of three programmers, including one tech lead focused on infrastructure and technology direction, three expert advisors, and one customer support specialist, all overseen by an experienced Product Owner.
Our solutions share a common functional core that includes:
- transportation operations management;
- resource assignment;
- operational tracking;
- invoicing;
- payroll management based on complex and variable business rules.
This core is then adapted to meet the specific realities of different transportation sectors, each with its own operational and regulatory constraints.
- Charter is designed for charter transportation;
- Circuit is designed for school and urban transportation;
- Dispatcher is designed for freight transportation.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze, design, and develop new frontend and backend features;
- Contribute to the evolution and maintenance of solutions used in real operational environments;
- Participate in testing, validation, and continuous improvement of code quality;
- Resolve technical issues in both test and production environments;
- Take part in Agile ceremonies and the continuous improvement of development practices;
- Contribute to knowledge sharing and solution documentation.
Required Skills
We are looking for a candidate with formal training in computer science and solid experience in software development, with 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in web programming, including working with databases (HFSQL, SQL). Experience with system integrations (databases, point-to-point integrations, APIs) is required. Knowledge of PC Soft technologies (WinDev / WebDev) is considered an asset.
A strong understanding of software architecture principles and development best practices is required. Experience working in an Agile environment is an asset, as is familiarity with DevOps environments. Sensitivity to application security and code quality is important.
The ideal candidate is autonomous and detail-oriented, with strong analytical skills, an ability to solve complex problems, and a strong interest in technology. They enjoy teamwork, communicate effectively, and can adapt to an ever-evolving environment.
