CIS Group Takes Part in a Practical Discussion on AI Adoption, Organized by BDC

On June 3, CIS Group had the opportunity to take part in an event organized by the Business Development Bank of Canada (BDC), focused on the practical adoption of artificial intelligence within Canadian SMEs. Bringing together approximately sixty participants, the event gathered entrepreneurs, AI solution providers, industry experts and other key ecosystem stakeholders.

The objective of the discussion was to foster open, experience‑based exchanges grounded in the operational realities of organizations, with a focus on how AI can support performance and growth in a concrete and responsible way.

An Initiative Led by BDC

The event was held at Square BDC in Montréal and opened with remarks from Isabelle Hudon, President and Chief Executive Officer of BDC. Pierre Cléroux, Chief Economist, then shared key findings from BDC’s latest study on the adoption of AI and digital technologies by Canadian businesses.

Moderated by Sadhana Venkatesan, Vice President, Technology Architecture and Application Services, the discussion brought together:

  • A Canadian artificial intelligence solution provider, Moov AI,
  • An organization that has concretely integrated AI into its operations, CIS Group.

This combination of perspectives enabled a rich and balanced dialogue, bridging strategic, technological and operational considerations.

Contributions from CIS Group and Moov AI

Invited by BDC to take part in the discussion, CIS Group and Moov AI each contributed based on their respective roles and expertise.
