1977
A group of St-Jerome business people founds CISJ (Centre informatique St-Jerome), which provides accounting data entry for industries:
  • passenger transport
  • freight transport
  • food distribution
1979
The first software package to computerize dispatching and invoicing in the freight transport sector is developed, now known as the CIS Station Suite.
1983
An agreement is signed with the association des transporteurs par autobus to develop specialized software for passenger transporters, now known as the CIS Station Suite.
1984
Bernard Casavant, President of Laiterie Casavant and one of the founders of CIS Group, decides to computerize the invoicing process of his 50 delivery drivers, providing them with a software solution capable of managing the truck inventory, invoicing and cash collection process. CIS Group became the first Canadian company to develop a software solution for DSD operations, today known as Companion Route.
1985
To enhance the services we offer our customers in the passenger and freight transport industry in their fleet management, we have developed a preventive maintenance application, now known as Mecano.
1999
With the help of Agropur, CIS is developing the first version of Companion Rep, which will be available on tablets to enable sales reps to take orders directly in-store.
2007
Acquisition of Omniciel, recognized as CIS Group’s biggest competitor in Canada in the development of DSD (direct store delivery) software.
2016
Enhance our offering with more intuitive solutions to keep pace with market developments and ensure continuous access to optimized versions. Available in Cloud and SAAS. Accessible on all platforms: Android and IOS.
2018
To better respond to growing demand throughout the Americas, CIS has inaugurated its new offices in Boca Raton, Florida, creating CIS-USA, with a view to ensuring proximity to customers in the United States and Latin America.
2020
Always with the intention of offering efficient products, we have developed a web-based order-taking tool to enable our customers to simplify the order-taking process for their customers. An application called SKU store.
